Celebrating what we have (from Keynote Address: Moana Jackson)

While I found all the ethics of indigenous research presented by Professor Moana Jackson to be very enlightening, to me, the last one, i.e the ethic of celebration became a much-needed reminder of importance of appreciating what my ancestors, my grandparents and parents have managed to preserve to this day, despite all the challenges and hardships. I tend to get so pessimistic these days when it comes to the future of our culture, so this one helped me to step back from the negative mindset.
