Moana Jackson – the link between knowledge and identity

I watched Moana Jackosn’s speech and what stood out the most for me were his words about the link between knowledge and identity. He said that the way in which knowledge is used to define identity goes to a question of the inherent sustainability and strength of indigenous people. To be strong is to be secure in who you are. These words strongly resonated with me because basically they define the value of my research and assure me in doing the research, cause my overall goal is try to make a difference in valuing our identity and finding the ways we can do it through reconnecting with the knowledge.
